Focus League privacy policy
Focus League is built so that almost nothing leaves your phone. This page says exactly what does, why, where it goes and for how long.
Who is responsible
aksie! is responsible for the processing described here. Questions or requests: info@aksie.be.
What stays on your phone
Your focus sessions and history, coins, squad, coaches, formations and tactics, your own league and its results, your presets and blocking lists. They live in a database on your phone and are sent nowhere. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Health and movement data (Apple Health, Health Connect or the phone's step counter), if you switch movement rewards on, is read on your phone, turned into minutes, and never leaves the device.
Crash reports
When the app crashes or runs into an error, it sends a crash report so the problem can be found and fixed. A report contains the error and where in the code it happened, the device model, the operating system and its version, the app version, the language setting, memory and screen figures, and the screens the app went through just before.
A crash report never contains who you are: no name, no account, no IP address, no device identifier, nothing you typed (such as a club name), no screenshots or recordings.
Crash reports are processed by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) in its EU data region in Frankfurt, Germany, and kept for 30 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in an app that works (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Playing against friends (optional)
Only if you create or join a competition with friends does the app send anything about your game. You then get an online identity: a key made on your phone, with no email, password or phone number. The competition receives:
- an identifier derived from that key;
- the club name you choose;
- the strength of your attack, midfield and defence, your tactic and your coach's influence;
- the names of the eleven players you field, the line each plays in, and how they performed.
It never receives your bench, ratings, prices, coins, condition, focus sessions, history or any health data. The other members of that competition see the table, the results, the match events with player names, and the club names.
This data is stored by Cloudflare in databases located in the EU. Finished seasons are kept as the group's history. You can delete your online identity in the app at any time: your club name and players are then replaced in every season you played, and the competition can no longer link anything to you. Legal basis: providing the competition you asked to join (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Your recovery code is stored only on your phone, in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. We never receive it, so we cannot restore an identity for you.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment details.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To tell you a focus block or timer has ended. |
| Health / Health Connect / motion | Only if you switch movement rewards on, to turn your movement into rewards on the phone. |
| Usage access and display over other apps (Android) | Only if you switch app blocking on, to keep distracting apps closed during a session. Which apps you open is not stored or sent. |
None is required to use the app.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your data, object to its processing, or ask for a copy. Most of your data never reaches us, so it is in your hands on your phone. Your online identity can be deleted in the app. Crash reports cannot be linked to you, so we cannot find yours. You can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Children
The app is not aimed at children. It has no chat, no profiles and no way to contact strangers.
Changes
If what the app sends changes, this page changes with it, and the date above is updated.
